Krestova Wildflower Photography Workshop

Join the Kootenay Native Plant Society and Iraleigh Anderson - botanist and photographer- and learn tips and tricks to capture striking images of West Kootenay spring wildflowers!

We'll begin the day with a presentation on the fundamentals of photography, followed by guidance on applying these concepts to take great plant images with your mobile phone (or camera). Participants will learn about sharing and organizing their plant photos on iNaturalist, Google Photos, and Instagram. In the afternoon, we will visit a meadow to practice these skills in the field, testing out attachable mini macro lenses to produce those elusive super-close-up shots. Your day can conclude at @2:45 pm following the field portion, or you can carry on until 4:00 pm with an optional photo-sharing and feedback session back at the hall. During this time, participants can share their favorite plant photos and receive peer feedback.
