About the event

Try the Pipes - Sligo (National Heritage Week 2025)
As part of our celebration of National Heritage Week (16th – 24th August 2025), Na Píobairí Uilleann is offering a free uilleann pipes taster session in Sligo. This will be held on Saturday 16th August from 2-4pm in the cultural hub of Hawk’s Well Theatre, Sligo.

Hosted by uilleann pipers Leonard Barry and Aoife Fadian, individuals will have the opportunity to try out the instrument for themselves with the guidance and assistance of experienced players.

This event is supported by the Heritage Council.
