Rob Doggett 'Yeats (Other) Worlds: A contextual Introduction

Dr. Robert (“Rob”) Doggett is a distinguished Yeats scholar and co-director of this year’s Summer School, holding a professorship at SUNY Geneseo in the U.S. He specializes in Irish literature, particularly the works of W.B. Yeats, and served as general editor of the Journal of International Yeats Studies.
Doggett coordinates Geneseo’s study-abroad Yeats Summer Program in Sligo, which blends close reading with immersive experience, and has deep academic and creative ties to the region.
A prolific scholar, he has written on Yeats’ use of myth, landscape, and the intersection of poetry and new media—for example, exploring Yeats and digital pedagogy in recent publications.


Rob Doggett’s lecture “Yeats’ Other Worlds” will provide a richly contextual introduction to this year’s theme, guiding us through the imaginative, spiritual, and literary realms that shaped Yeats’ vision.
