Kids event! *PLEASE NOTE THE NEW TIME*—we're running 10:30 to 11:30 before the main event picks up again at midday. You're welcome to hang around until 12, but after that kids will hear naughty words and rude jokes.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW if you're available to monster, so I can plot around you! It helps to know who will be available for assigning NPC roles as well as planning combats.
(if you just want to tag along out of character that's great too--that way you can take photos)
No charge, but if you want to leave a couple of silver behind the bar for me to have a drink at the main event it'd be very much appreciated.

An adventure specifically for kids under 12, with kid specific rules, plot and encounters. Anyone is welcome, but it'll definitely be on the simple side and aimed at that age range.
Dress your kids in something vaguely fantasy if they like (pirate costume, wizard costume, whatever)--don't stress too much but definitely take the chance for them to have fun dressing up. Dress up too if you can: there's a story excuse for adults to accompany the kids' party.
If you've got LARP weapons for your kids to use, brilliant! If not, please don't let them bring plastic swords etc. cos they bloody hurt when you get hit with them, and kids are buggers for not pulling their blows in the first place. We'll make sure there's spare swords about for kids who want to be warriors. They can also be a wizard (with a simple Fireball) if they don't want to fight up close!
I will need adults to monster, too, if (say) two parents are coming and one is happy to monster, or your kid is a bit older and doesn't need close supervision.
Combat rules are simple: kids have one hit point, and adults are on hand with infinite healing.
Anyone is welcome to hang around for the main event for a while, but remember that it won't be aimed at kids, and the language from other players would be an education for younger ears. That'll run till late but you can always do an hour before you dip out.
