About the artist and the exhibition
The exhibition ”The memory of Earth is held in her songs” explores notions of ecological intelligence and relationships with other life forms, such as insects, algae, and soil microbes. Through her projects, the artists draws attention to non-human languages and environmental signs of the multiple cultural, ecological and climate crises while fathoming transformative narratives. The exhibition has grown out of the artist’s long-standing collaborations and exchanges with researchers, scientists and knowledge holders and from her ongoing collaboration with non-human entities. By attuning to biological signals, the exhibition invites a reimagining of earthly kinship and opens portals for multispecies attunement in times of planetary uncertainty.

Om konstnären och utställningen
Utställningen utforskar föreställningar kring ekologisk intelligens och relationer med andra livsformer, såsom insekter, alger och markmikrober. I sina projekt vill konstnären, genom transformativa berättelser, uppmärksamma icke-mänskliga språk och miljöns egna tecken på de mångfaldiga sociala och ekologiska klimatkriser vi står inför. Utställningen har växt fram genom konstnärens långvariga samarbeten och utbyten med forskare och vetenskapsmän och ur hennes pågående samarbeten med icke-mänskliga enheter. Genom att fokusera på en rad biologiska och ekologiska signaler bjuder utställningen in oss att omskapa det plane-tära släktskapet och öppna upp för en dialog mellan olika arter i en tid av stor ekologisk osäkerhet.
