Briefing:
There is a NATO joint task force, patrol number R7V call sign Viking, that has been deployed into the Colombian jungle as part of a larger anti-narcotics campaign, this is Operation Bushmaster.

The platoon were airlifted into Bogotá airbase and have been transported by road with the assistance of the Colombian military to their dismount point 1km from the village of Barbosa.

This area and especially the village is home to a fierce very well funded cartel, Los Sueña. This cartel is well known for violence, protecting their interests in the area of Barbosa and their incredibly profitable drug production business.
