Many students choose to check out a laptop during orientation, though borrowing a laptop from Western Iowa Tech is completely optional. If you plan to check out a laptop, please reserve your spot for laptop checkout so we can be ready for you and help the process go smoothly. Orientation typically takes about 90 minutes with laptop checkout, or about an hour without.

If you’re unable to find a time slot that works with your schedule, you are still highly encouraged to attend orientation during any of the hours listed above. You may stop by to check out a laptop at your convenience during business hours, either August 19–22 in Room L136 (across from the Overlook Café) or August 25–29 at the IT Help Desk in Room A230. Please have your MyWIT digital ID ready when you get there.
