Join Halcyon Scene, an '80s vintage boutique located in downtown Silver Spring, for Vice-Out! a night of '80s cosplay at AFI Silver! Show up to our screening of DONNIE DARKO in your most chic '80s duds — commit to Sparkle Motion; tease that hair up; pop your collar; wear those leotards, cowboy boots, herringbone trench coats or taffeta skirts — and enter the contest as you arrive.

First prize is a $100 gift certificate to Halcyon Scene, second prize is a sleek vintage tchotchke from the Halcyon Scene collection and third prize is a pair of movie tickets!

Richard Kelly described his debut feature as "The Catcher in the Rye" told by Philip K. Dick, and the film delivers, combining coming-of-age woes with high-concept science fiction. Jake Gyllenhaal stars as troubled teen Donnie, whose imaginary friend — a six-foot tall rabbit — informs him that the world is about to end. Dealing with time travel, alternate dimensions and mental illness, Donnie must unravel the mystery and possibly save the world. With a supporting cast featuring Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jena Malone, Patrick Swayze and Drew Barrymore, plus an evocative soundtrack of '80s hits, this modern classic is a must-see on the big screen.
