My next-door neighborhood is participating this time to showcase a work in progress for anybody who feels overwhelmed getting started.
Each 🌱🌱🌱 indicates a separate garden, followed by 📍the address and a description of what you'll find there. Additional gardens may be added, and specific addresses will be shared just before the event.
🌱🌱🌱 Lindsay Ponta: Food Forest in Progress
📍 112 Whitmoor Terrace
• Lindsay's garden is on a double lot that backs up to a highway (29/Colesville) and features conditions from full sun ☀️ to full shade ☁️.
• Highlights include: 🌧️ Rainscapes permeable walkway and patio, 🌳 food forest in progress with native and non-native edible plants; raised beds; 🪁 nature "playground" and 🔥 built-in firepit, trellises, detailed plant labeling, composting
• 🚸 Kid-friendly! Bring the little ones to play with the fairy garden, swingset, and nature "playground," a small kids' take-home activity, and an actual child 🤣
• 🍷 Only the finest boxed wine and juice boxes and maybe some crackers or something snacky
• 🛒 Native garden signs available for purchase via cash or Venmo
🌱🌱🌱 Elaine Woo Lamirande: Median Pollinator Garden
📍Cherry Tree Lane and Lexington Drive
This is a quick, self-guided stop at an island in the center of the neighborhood, where Elaine has create a pollinator paradise for the entire community to enjoy. Look for the MCNPP sign.

📍Colesville Road and Crestmoor Drive
This is a quick, self-guided stop at the entrance to the neighborhood, where Michael has been busy adding and labeling several varieties of native plants over the past couple years. Look for the MCNPP sign.
