Join the Fight Against Cognitive Decline and Social Isolation

Nearly 13% of Maryland seniors live with Alzheimer’s—the highest rate in the nation. Across the state, caregivers provide millions of unpaid hours, valued at over $7 billion annually, and the impact is especially severe in Black and Brown communities. Many more are living with mild cognitive impairment, often undiagnosed, but still facing memory loss and isolation. That’s why Resilient Health Communities is launching on June 1 with a free public event focused on brain health, connection, hope, and fun. Join us from 3–6 PM at Mid-County Recreation Center to learn simple tools that support memory and connection—and discover how you can join a growing community working to create change.
