RESISTANCE Yoga - Community Movement for Transformative Change

This is a FREE community class being offered on the first Wednesday of every month at 6:45 p.m., led by various instructors and facilitators and hosted by MY YOGA Community Center.

The values of Yoga compel us to adopt the principles of: non-violence (ahimsa), truthfulness (satya), resisting exploitation of others (asteya), promoting sustainability & equity (bramacharya) and resting the accumulation of resources in the hands of a few (aparigraha).

The practice of yoga also promote ideals such as bodily autonomy, recognizing the value and humanity of all beings, and connection to community.

Each RESISTANCE Yoga gathering will include a 45-minute yoga practice, followed by a 30-minute group discussion for community support and organization/mobilization.

There is no need to sign up. Just show up and practice and join a community committed to transformational change and grounded in yoga principles.
