This workshop invites you to a whole body experience considering the anatomy and architecture of our living form. The teaching will be based on Dr. Joanne Avison's training, she is an international teacher of yoga, movement and manual therapy, teaching applied structural anatomy for movement and manual practitioners in a variety of fields. The author of Yoga, Fascia, Anatomy and Movement and Co-creator of the Myofascial Magic in Action Course and author of her 2nd book of the above named title. Maria Zervas is a graduate of the MMIA course, an advanced certified yoga teacher and a Somatic Yoga Educator, she is delighted to facilitate this workshop to explore the difference of practicing yoga & movement as a bio-motional being not a bio-mechanical one. This isn't about creating a new modality, it illuminating a new awareness into the practice of yoga & movement you love. This workshop is open to everyone, complete beginners or if you are a new or about to train as a yoga teacher or experienced yoga teacher, and particularly anyone who is experiencing movement challenges, back concerns, balance challenges and so much more.
