Eataly Flash Class: Gelato al Pistachio

It’s time to celebrate Gelato Fest! In this class, you’ll observe as a Scuola Chef makes traditional gelato al pistacchio, talks you through the unique differences between gelato and ice cream, teaches you the best methods to get high-quality gelato without an ice cream maker, and lets you taste a few of Eataly’s signature gelato flavors.

About this Dish: While people often think gelato is simply Italian ice cream, there are distinct differences between the two. Gelato is mixed more slowly and has a lower fat percentage, making it denser, creamier, and richer in flavor. This decadent sweet treat is perfect any time of year or time of day.
