VJ Day

It gives me great pleasure as the Vice Chairman of the Sherborne Branch Royal British Legion to announce the following. A swing band will be there to bring a nostalgic feel to the event.
There will be a wreath laying ceremony to honour those we lost and monies raised will go towards a Remembrance Bench outside the Abbey and two ‘Tommy’ statues around the War memorial. There will also be music at this event courtesy of a swing band. And a few golden oldies to sing along to.
