Unlazy River

Floaties, noodles, and summertime vibes—no swimsuit required!

Ever floated down a lazy river? This is NOT that. We’re turning up the energy with a pretend water adventure packed with fun, movement, and imagination! Bring your favorite pool float, life jacket, or noodle, and get ready to walk (not wade!) your way through a zany obstacle course around the library’s StoryWalk® path.

First, check in with River Guide Lindsey inside to gather your gear and instructions. Then hop across lilypads, spin through sidewalk whirlpools, and strike your coolest “surf’s up” pose as you glide through our totally Unlazy River! It’s all pretend water fun—no getting wet here!

🎒 What to bring: Your own floaties, pool noodles, or water gear (just for show—no water involved!)
🩱 What not to bring: Swimsuits—we’re staying dry for this one!
🛟 Need gear? A limited number of floaties and noodles will be available first-come, first-served.
🎁 Finish strong: Enjoy a popsicle and take home some sidewalk chalk to create your own Unlazy River at home!

Get ready to move, laugh, and let your imagination make a splash!

For children of all ages and their families. Just drop in!
Space and supplies will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
