The Viking Wire Weave (or knit) is a type of weave that dates back to the 8th century and originates from one of the oldest forms of knitting. This technique for making jewelry looks complex but is really very easy to master.
You will be amazed with the results you get on your first try. It is perfect for making uniquely designed bracelets and necklaces. The design possibilities are endless. Come learn the Viking Weave and take home your own little piece of history that you’ve created with your own hands.
Skill level: Beginner to Intermediate
What will be made: Viking Knit Bracelet (wire and findings provided in class).
Class Price: $90. Price includes all materials needed to make your own Viking Knit bracelet, as well as the instruction guide, and mandrel and draw plate set that are yours to keep! It also includes soft drinks and snacks, but we do recommend bringing a lunch or ordering a lunch from one of our amazing downtown restaurants.
We will make available tool kits that can be borrowed during class, which contain wire cutters and a set of jewelry pliers. Or, if you want to take home the tool kit to continue your journey in jewelry making, they will be available for purchase after class. We also have Viking Knit and tool kits available in store NOW if you want to play around before class!
