A firm favourite, The Little Unsaid return to Sheffield, and it's our pleasure to welcome them to The Lantern. John Elliott has used this moniker for well over a decade now, gaining recognition for genre hopping combinations using elements of alt-folk, electronica, alt-rock and string arrangements. John has worked with world-class producers including Graeme Stewart (Radiohead), Brett Shaw (Florence and the Machine) and Sonny Johns (Buena Vista Social Club, Tony Allen).
The most recent album from The Little Unsaid, Fable, has drawn well deserved attention from The Guardian and Prog Magazine; Bristol247 called their songs “utterly life affirming.”
Having played at various venues around Sheffield over the years, this will be the band's first appearance at The Lantern. And we're delighted.

The Little Unsaid
The Little Unsaid’s live shows are renowned for audience connection, catharsis and celebration in the face of things – which have drawn audiences to the band’s last three sold-out UK tours. Lyrics that chart our deepest experiences and matters of the heart which we all share, and music with the art of songwriting at its core that elevates and unites us.
After 10 years of touring and making records that take in alt.folk, post-rock and electronica, The London/Aarhus-based four-piece have spent a year and a half away from recording / touring in order to re-invent and re-invigorate their process.
Now – backed by loyal fan support – The Little Unsaid have made their most expansive yet deeply personal record to date, finding their own connection again via almost wholly improvised sessions; music fuelled by a commitment to the moment in an ephemeral and chaotic world, trusting in the honesty and excitement of that raw first take, and collective feeling as artists with the world coming at them.
The Little Unsaid plan to renew and celebrate that feeling of connection with live audiences with energised shows throughout the UK in 2025.
