THE CORDS with MT. MISERY

This is a 14+ gig (all under 18s must be accompanied by an adult who is 21+, maximum of 2 under 18s per 21 year old and they can't stay after 11pm, by which time the show will be finished anyway).

THE CORDS are sisters Grace and Antonia. They live in Scotland, they are indiepop fans. They played with all our indiepop heroes and all our indiepop heroes are fans of them. Sheffield is the first date on their album launch tour which is going to be released on the label Skep Wax. For fans of the Raincoats, Dolly mixture, Marine Girls, Tiger Trap and Sarah records and INDIEPOP generally. We are so excited to have them play in our city!

The Cords have asked the really fine indie guitar boys from MT. MISERY to drive all the way from Hartlepool to support the first date of their tour. They said YES straight away!

Mt. MISERY have released two albums Once Home, No longer (2021) and Love in Mind (2024) on Hartlepool's Prefect records. This is fantastic jangle pop, chiming guitars and harmonies to the fore. If you're a fan of the likes of Big Star and Teenage Fanclub you should not miss out on these.

Madeline will also be launching her indiepop fanzine tonight. It includes interviews from The Cords, Sassyhiya and Autocamper.
