Friends of Manor Fields Park invite you to join for our annual History & Talk as part of #LoveParks week 2025
Over the last few years, we have been learning more and more about the interesting history of Manor Fields Park and the surrounding area. On this guided walk we will share some of the interesting facts we have discovered and invite you to share your own stories. We will continue the walk from the park to Sheffield Manor Lodge for a walk around around the historic grounds.
Key Information:
Starting promptly at 10.30am in the car park on City Road
This is not a circular walk, it will finish at the Turret House at Sheffield Manor Lodge at around 12.15pm. You can then continue to explore the house and grounds, or maybe stop for a cup of tea.
You are welcome to leave the walk at any time.
We try to make the walk suitable for as many people as possible, however there will be some hills and walking on grass. If you have any accessibility questions, please get in touch.
Access to Sheffield Manor Lodge, including the Turret House, is free but please book if you can so they can anticipate numbers:
https://sheffieldmanorlodge.digitickets.co.uk/event-tickets/63957. You have the option to make a voluntary donation online or on the day if you wish.
Children are welcome but must be supervised at all times
Dogs are welcome but must be on a lead and we ask that you pick up after any accidents. We have scheduled this for Dog Friendly Day at the Lodge so that dogs, and their owners, will be able to enjoy the whole event.
Please come prepared for the weather on the day and make your own judgement as to whether the conditions are suitable for you – we may decide to reduce or cancel the walk in the event of extreme temperatures or inclement weather.
We look forward to seeing you!
