Beyond the Mat with Ryan Spence

Join us for a transformative 5-week workshop series exploring the first limb of Patanjali’s Eight Limbs of Yoga, the Yamas.

Each week, you’ll be guided through a vinyasa practice, group discussion, and meditation, leaving you with a deeper understanding of how to do yoga and live yoga.

Together, we'll explore the traditional meaning of each Yama, and we can apply them to modern life.

Yama translates as “to reign in” or “to control”, and the Yamas are ways we can relate to the world without causing suffering to ourselves or others.

Here's what we’ll cover:

Week 1: Ahimsa (Non-violence): Cultivating kindness towards yourself and others.

Week 2: Satya (Truthfulness): Living authentically and embracing your true essence.

Week 3: Asteya (Non-stealing): Finding contentment and abundance within.

Week 4: Brahmacharya (Moderation): Balancing energy for inner peace.

Week 5: Aparigraha (Non-possessiveness): Letting go of attachment to embrace freedom.

Leave this series with the confidence to take your practice off the mat, beyond the physical practice, and into your everyday life.
