Experience the enchanting allure of a full moon swim at Shaftesbury Lido, Dorset's only lido. Nestled in the heart of Shaftesbury, this cherished council-run facility offers a unique setting for an invigorating swim under the moonlit sky.
Each full moon carries its own story and energy, and our swims are designed to align with these themes, offering you the perfect opportunity for connection, reflection, and renewal.
The September full moon is known as the Corn Moon. It serves as a spiritual reminder of the cyclic nature of life, symbolising the manifestation of our efforts and dreams. As corn is harvested during this time, it is associated with nourishment and sustenance, embodying the idea of being provided for and the importance of gratitude for what we have.
This will be the last heated full moon swim for the year as we will be turning the heating off straight after. Despite this, it might be a little chilly when you get out in the dark so please make sure you bring hot drinks and snacks for socialising after (no alcohol or glass, please).
• Doors open at 8.00pm
