WHSYC Pre-Season Practice Race

Calling all Alaskan sailors, racers, and adventurers of all kinds! Whether you've never set foot aboard, are a casual cruiser, or a seasoned salty, join us to stretch your halyards, shake the dust out of your sails, and kick off the 2025 WHSYC racing season. May 17th is the pre-season practice race!

Racing sailboats is exciting, and anyone can get into it - especially with friends and a bit of good mentorship. That's why we love the practice race: because it's all about learning and confidence building.

If you're a Seward sailor and have ever wondered what it would be like to race, this is the best way to find out. Sign up now, and we will try to pair you with an experienced racer riding along on YOUR boat. Crew without boats are always welcome too - we'll make sure you have a spot if you sign up now.

And as usual - you can look forward to a delicious breakfast, post race potluck, and party at the WHSYC clubhouse.

The race, breakfast, potluck, and party are open to full WHSYC members, race crew members, or boats that have paid for race entry. Make sure you click "Attending", or reach out for more details!
