🎵 Miro Božič – harmonica, tidldibab (Neanderthal flute)
Architect and musician Miro Božič sees rhythm, repetition, and surprise as key elements in both architecture and music. He began playing the harmonica at age eight, a gift from his uncle that sparked a lifelong passion. Initially self-taught, he later studied under Prof. Zdenka Šindič, exploring classical music and the harmonica’s expressive potential. His inspiration ranges from 20th-century American blues and spaghetti Westerns to Chet Baker and Miles Davis. Over nearly 40 years, he has built a rich and varied repertoire—jazz, classical, chanson, rock, and folk—and performed in unique venues like the Idrija mine and Krakovski Forest. His recordings include Mozart Blues, Jazz in Ti, Music in Color, Porgy & Bess, and Obljubljena dežela (2021). 🎶
Long-time collaborator 🎹 Polona Gantar joins him on projects like The Harp of Fine Rain and the 2012 EBU Christmas Concert.
