This month, friends and families are invited to greet the rising full moon and share in an evening of improvisational collaborative drumming led by the Sedona Drum and Healing Circle.
Feel free to arrive early to enjoy the vista. Drumming will likely start by 7pm.
The sun sets at 7:40pm and the moon rises around 8:40pm.
Bring your own drum, percussion, metal singing bowls and other sound healing instruments. Also bring a chair or blanket, water, LED lights and a flashlight for the hike down.
While the focus is drumming, we incorporate healing bowls in between drum jams. We have found the vibrations encourage receptivity and heart centered presence. In this space, the invitation to play naturally emerges and we respond with love - love of self, love of Nature, love of making music with community, and love of the NOW.
Pay attention to the forks in the trail on the way up. It is less than a 10 minute hike from the parking lot. Mostly easy with a few steep areas.
As always, please park responsibly. EXTRA PARKING IS ALSO AVAILABLE ACROSS HWY 179 AT COURTHOUSE BUTTE. There are two trails to take from Courthouse parking. One is a trail leading to Yavapai Vista parking lot along HWY 179. The other is a trial directly across the hwy from Courthouse that leads up to the plateau.
Please respect the land and pack out all trash. Please keep the cameras flash OFF.
FIRES ARE NOT PERMITTED ON NATIONAL FOREST LAND. Fires and trash will jeopardize our ability to gather at this location. Please be responsible for yourself and for your friends.
