Running River School, a nonprofit independent school, invites parents and community members to Mary Fisher Theater, Wednesday, October 22 from 6:30 to 8:00 to witness a living picture of the philosophy, methods, and curriculum that make Waldorf education an all-encompassing experience for children as well as the adults who nurture their growth.
This expanded speaking series, led by faculty of Running River School, explains guiding principles that shape a holistic approach to teaching that leads to academic excellence, as well as creativity, resilience, critical thinking, and a love of learning.
Eddie Simmons, Running River School 8th Grade Lead Teacher, will host the first talk of this expanded series by introducing “Consciousness, Connection & Freedom in Waldorf Education”. Simmons, a veteran educator at RRS, says, “This talk will explore how Waldorf Education aims to nurture a connection and coherence within our children; both with natural higher worlds around us, and with their own higher path and calling.”
