Come learn about longships with a beer or mead in hand!
From the heart of Scandinavia to the distant shores of Romania, the Mediterranean and North America, Vikings sailed beyond the reaches of the known world and forever changed how we build our ships, and sail the high seas. Come learn how the longship design took shape and continues to influence boat building and sailing to this day, how they were navigated on the open ocean, and how modern boat builders are breathing new life into these timelessly terrifying works of art. Presented by Boatwright Paul "Særulf" Pedersen, member of NW Shieldwall, the Northwest Viking Alliance and Founder of Sea Wolf Voyages.
Our full kitchen and bar will also be open during the class. This event is welcome to all ages.
