🎨 Part of the Belltown Art Walk
I’m proud to introduce MORE PAINT, the debut solo exhibition by Brandon Bye and the forthcoming second release from my photobook imprint, Pigeon Editions.
Over the past two years, Brandon has quietly walked Seattle’s streets with his camera—documenting a city in flux through graffiti, encampments, and the traces of contested policy. Behind the scenes, editor Lisa van Dam-Bates and I have worked closely with him to shape this project into a cohesive book and exhibition that reflects a shifting civic identity and asks: Who gets seen, and who disappears, as the city remakes itself?

The show features over two dozen large-format prints, each minimally captioned and paired with excerpts from the book that explore civic erasure, control, and public memory.
Join us July 11 for the opening reception at Base Camp Studios 2, a creative hub in the historic Bergman Luggage Building. Brandon, Lisa, and I will be there to mix, mingle, and talk about the work and how it came to be.
🖼 On view through August 3
💥 Free + open to the public

This past year, I’ve stepped back from showing my own photography to help bring this body of work into the world—because I believe in it that deeply. MORE PAINT has been a quiet labor of love for Brandon, Lisa, and me, and we’d be honored for you to come see it—and us.
