About the Workshop
I-ASK is a high-impact, performance-driven workshop that blends improvisation, character development, and real-world voice direction.Designed for working and aspiring voice actors,this class will challenge your instincts,elevate your reads, and strengthen your animation toolset so you can compete for more work .
This isn’t a lecture—it’s a full-on experience.The class is 90% performance-based and limited to just 8 participants per session to ensure lots individual attention, coaching, and a bunch of stage time.
How It Works
* The first half focuses on improvisation with an emphasis on animated character creation.
* In the second half, actors are cast in a full 30-minute animated script for a live table read.
* Before the table read, each actor will be improvising as their assigned character, learning how to make grounded, flexible choices before ever touching the script at the table .
The second phase of the class is a full table read that will mirror an animated show recording session .You’ll receive live direction from both instructors throughout the session in real time , plus actionable feedback that draws from real-world casting and booth experience.

Below is a bit more about your instructors :
Kristin Paiva
Kristin is a casting director, voice director, and talent scout with over 20 years in the industry. She spent nearly two decades with The Walt Disney Company, casting hit animated series and features including Phineas and Ferb: Candace Against the Universe, Big Hero 6: The Series, Mickey Mouse Funhouse, and many more.
Through her company, Paiva Productions, she now works across union and non-union projects—spanning animation, commercial, and video game casting—for top studios, indie creators, and networks.
Scott Parkin
Scott Parkin has been a working on-camera and voiceover talent for 32 years—improvising on stage,in film & TV, and in both VO and on-camera commercials.He’s taughtImprovisation for Voiceover to adults, kids,and teens for over 15 years.
Scott has performed as a voice actor in over 2,000 radio and TV commercials and has appeared on-camera in hundreds of national commercials,multiple TV shows, and a few films.
