Emerald Rain Beach is excited to be hosting it's first annual Beach Volleyball Collegiate Showcase Clinic!
Days before the annual Seaside event in Oregon, this is a great way to interact and get feedback from beach coaches from some of the top performing collegiate programs in the country. We'll keep the groups on the smaller side, no more than 8-10 per court with more time on each court with each group of coaches (at least 40 minutes). This format will allow for a greater understanding of what each coach is looking for in each drill and will allow for more Q&A and coaching technical feedback. Get the most out of your time in the sand with these experienced coaches- soak up the sunshine and all the tips & knowledge they share with you!
We'll also set aside about an hour for a thorough Q&A. Come prepared with your questions about each program or about collegiate beach in general. The coaches are happy to answer questions about the recruiting process, what they look for when considering a recruit, how to effectively communicate with coaches during the recruiting process and more! Again, make the most of this time, come prepared and get all your questions answered. *Parents are welcome to sit in and join the conversation as well. We'll let the athletes take the lead, but give the parents an opportunity at the end to ask any follow up questions.
Alki Beach is a beautiful background for an event like this, but make sure you come prepared- bring your own chairs, coverage from the sun, extra water, sunscreen, sand socks. Layers are key, the morning clouds burn off quick and the sand heats up fast.
