The Seattle Outrigger Canoe Club invites you to compete in this beautiful, fun and challenging race at Alki Beach in West Seattle. Don’t miss this opportunity to paddle from a sandy beach, in the beautiful salt water of Puget Sound with our gorgeous Pacific Northwest surroundings.
The event begins with a 4-mile triangle course right off of Alki beach; perfect for Novice, Junior, and Keiki OC6 crews, OC1/2, Surfski, and SUP!
12-mile long course starts from Alki and round Blake Island and back. The Women and Mix crews start the long-course events, followed by the Men's crews.
Event Schedule:
7:00 am: Registration and canoe/equipment preparation
8:30 am: Steerspersons’ meeting and pule
9:00 am: Short Course – All categories
10:30 am: Women’s & Mixed OC6 Race Start
1:00 pm: Men’s (1/2 hour after the finish of Women’s/Mixed Race)
3:30 pm: Awards & Raffle

Race Fees
● $45 per paddler for long course
● $25 per paddler for short course

● Da Grind Shirt included with each registration!
● Registration fee required for each paddler per event.
● Reduced race fee of $15 if competing in 2+ events where an additional shirt is not needed.
● Fee waived for adult steersperson supporting keiki crews in short course.
