Communitree: An Epic Add-and-Pass Collage Experience at Collage-O-Rama

Picture this: a bunch of tables snaked together, piled high with collage materials, and at the end of the day we've created a collaborative forest of collaged trees!

Communitree is the closing event of Collage-O-Rama, and we wanted the last day to be something special. All supplies are provided, as well as templates and plenty of helpful guidance to ensure it's a day of creative joy with your fellow collage enthusiasts.

Still don't know what to expect? You'll show up and add a little bit of collage to a whole bunch of collages. Will there be 50? More? Will it be the largest add-and-pass collage event ever? Let's make it so!

About Collage-O-Rama:

Collage-O-Rama is a month-long celebration of the compulsion to cut and paste. During open hours, the public is welcome to drop in to make art and make friends. Collage materials and tools are provided. In addition, Collage-O-Rama hosts a number of exhibitions demonstrating just a small part of what is possible through collage. This year's event includes an exhibition of digital collage, a performance/installation of modular collage, and an artist residency focused on storytelling through locative collage.

It is organized by artist Andrea Lewicki, founder of Special Agent Collage Collective. The purpose of Collage-O-Rama is to provide a positive, participatory creative experience regardless of previous exposure to art education or access to supplies. 2025's instance is supported in part by Seattle's Department of Neighborhoods, whose contribution is matched by generous volunteer hours.
