Challenging Assumptions about AI:

Can We Talk? Challenging Assumptions about AI Almost overnight, AI has become ubiquitous in our lives. From large language models like ChatGPT to efficiency tools built into products like Microsoft Excel to Zoom transcription services, AI is impossible to avoid.

During this half-day event, we'll dive deep into the opportunities and challenges AI has presented in our personal and professional lives, discuss the ethical and legal implications while also challenging some of the assumptions that have surfaced about this technology. The event will feature a keynote discussion with Liat Ben-Zur, who launched the first commercial GPT-4 product at Microsoft and grew it to a $13 billion business.

She will share her disruptive perspective on how AI can empower "leaders forged in the margins," whose experience with bias and even a few battle scars make them uniquely qualified to lead AI businesses.

We will also feature leaders from technology, nonprofit, legal, medical, and entrepreneurial spaces who can speak to the unique applications of AI in ways that are already changing our lives, including:

Rashmi Raghavendra, managing director, rcubed | ventures

Julie Murchinson, partner with Transformational Capital, a digital health care investor

Steve Tapia, distinguished practitioner in residence, Seattle University School of Law

Arry Yu, managing director of Yellow Umbrella Ventures, chair of the Advanced Technologies Council for the Washington Technology Industry Association

Grin Lord, founder and CEO, Mpathic AI
