Lunch & Learn at 1440: Acu-Yoga (Acupressure & Yoga)

Learn to embody new ways of wellbeing as you participate in an Acu-Yoga class lead by 1440 Experience Instructor Jessica Fajans, and discover a safe and natural self-healing system designed to regulate the flow of chi. Through the powerful combination of yoga and acupressure, this class teaches you step-by-step yoga postures, breathing techniques, and fingertip massage applied to the body's vital points. Experience how this practice helps release harmful stress and toxins, improve flexibility, and boost circulation. Acu-Yoga also enhances emotional balance, fosters mental clarity, and promotes overall well-being, leaving you feeling balanced and revitalized.

Following Acu-Yoga, learn about our "food as medicine" nutrition philosophy with a delicious, sustainable and locally sourced lunch at Kitchen Table as the 1440 Culinary Team teaches you about its process in creating nourishing dishes made with whole foods.

1440 is a philanthropic campus, and each booking contributes to serving our community by providing scholarships and volunteer services in support of creating hope for living well.

Lunch & Learn Schedule:

• 10:00-10:30 p.m.: Arrival & Registration
• 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.: Acu-Yoga Class with 1440 Experience Instructor Jessica Fajans
• 12:00-1:00 p.m.: Lunch at Kitchen Table; sustainable, locally sourced and mindfully prepared
• 1:00-1:30 p.m.: Event Conclusion & Departures

Price: $65 per person, includes lunch at Kitchen Table

• French Bistro Salad, Radicchio, Frisee, Pickled Shallots, Cherry Tomato, Parmesan Crisp, Herbs from Joanie’s Garden, Tarragon Vinaigrette (Gluten Free, Plant-Based, Nut Free)
• Tarragon Crusted Organic Pork Loin, Herbed Fregola, Brussels Sprouts, Asparagus, Fennel Fronds, Dill Oil, Corn Beurre Blanc (plant-based option available)
• Raspberry Madeleines, Valrhona Chocolate, Smoked Maldon (Gluten Free, Plant-Based, Nut Free)
• Please note: The menu is subject to change based on the availability of seasonal ingredients from our local farm partners. There is always a plant-based option available.

• Guests are welcome to arrive to campus and register as early at 9:30 a.m. to enjoy our Lodge Retail Shop, Bridge of Intentions and Common Grounds Patio. Please note that other locations of campus, including the trails and jacuzzi tub, are reserved for overnight program guest use only and are not available for this local Community Education Class.
• This is an indoor event, held in one of our well-ventilated classroom spaces.
• 1440 will provide everything required for this class.
• This program may be filmed and/or photographed to support our 1440 nonprofit mission work, marketing and learning pillars.
• Reusable water bottles are welcome -- filtered water stations are available throughout campus.
• Kitchen Table offers ample indoor and outdoor seating, including outdoor covered seating options.
• This is an 18-and-over event.

Cancellation Policy: Participants may request a refund up to 7 days before the event. After this period, all sales are final. All proceeds from Community Learning Events support our 1440 philanthropic and volunteer efforts.
