But when the woman she’s been secretly watching vanishes, Rachel is drawn into a dangerous mystery, where she uncovers secrets, lies, and shocking revelations that will change everything.

-----------------------------------------------------

Available Roles:

Rachel Watson – Female | 25–40 | British | Any ethnicity/body type

Rachel is the girl on the train, stuck at a low point after her divorce from Tom. Struggling with alcoholism, she lost her job but continues commuting past the home they once shared. She also begins to fixate on a seemingly perfect couple, Megan and Scott, whom she watches from the train. When one of them vanishes, she plunges into the investigation and gets wrapped up in the mystery. Rachel is a mentally and physically intense role and rarely leaves the stage. Rachel will kiss Scott and Tom, exhibit various levels of intoxication throughout the show, and engage in physical and emotional aggression as both target and aggressor.

Tom Watson – Male | 30–40 | British | Any ethnicity/body type

Charming on the surface, calculating underneath—Tom is Rachel’s ex and now Anna’s husband. He presents as the perfect family man, but his hidden emotional manipulation played a major role in Rachel’s unraveling—a nuanced and central character with a dark side. Tom will be required to kiss Rachel and engage in choreographed physical aggression.

Kamal Abdic –Male | Any age | British accent | Any body type | Though Kamal’s background is Bosnian, another character mistakenly describes him as “Asian"-looking (in the UK, this can refer to South Asian), so we're ideally seeking someone with darker features to reflect how he's perceived in the story.

Kamal is a calm, compassionate therapist who’s been helping Megan work through personal challenges and better understand herself. Professional and composed, he brings a steady, grounded presence to the story. Rachel, seeking answers, poses as a new client to confront him, but ends up uncovering more about herself in the process. Kamal does not need to engage in any physical confrontation, but will be required to kiss Megan.

D.I. Gaskill – Male | Any age | British | Any ethnicity/body type

D.I. Gaskill is the lead detective on Megan Hipwell’s case. He is experienced and grounded, and the only truly objective voice amid a cast of unreliable narrators. He navigates the tangled relationships of those involved, steadily working to uncover the truth. The role of D.I. Gaskill involves no intimacy and is not subject to physical violence.

Scott Hipwell – Male | 25–35 | British | Any ethnicity/body type

Scott, Megan’s husband, is intense, emotionally driven, and struggling with trust and control in their relationship. His interactions with Rachel begin under false pretenses and evolve into a brief, uneasy connection. Scott’s short fuse and emotional volatility make him a complex and layered role. Scott will need to portray physical intimacy with Rachel and Megan, and moments of choreographed aggression with both.

Megan Hipwell – Female | 25–35 | British | Any ethnicity/body type

Megan Hipwell is everything Rachel wishes she could be—radiant, carefree, and magnetic. But behind her perfect image, Megan is restless and reckless. Her sudden disappearance drives the story, revealed through flashbacks and memories. Megan will kiss both Scott and Kamal, portray scenes involving physical violence, and discuss sensitive topics related to child loss.

Anna Watson – Female | 25–35 | British | Any ethnicity/body type

Once the “other woman,” Anna is now Tom’s wife and mother to their baby. She lives in the home Tom once shared with Rachel. Stylish and self-assured, she’s determined to protect her family from Rachel, whom she sees as unstable and potentially dangerous. Beneath her polished exterior, she is ready to stand her ground when her new life is threatened. Anna is not involved in any staged intimacy or physical violence.
