Multnomah County Code Improvement Project Presentation

On August 5th, the Multnomah County's Land Use Planning Office will present on the Multnomah County Code Improvement Project.

The Multnomah County Code Improvement Project is intended to update and modernize the Zoning Code, consistent with County policy priorities, including affordable housing, social equity, climate resiliency, and customer service, among others. A concurrent companion effort, the DLCD Clear and Objective code update, is primarily intended to ensure that provisions related to housing in Chapter 39 of the zoning code are clear and objective and comply with applicable housing-related state statutes, rules, guidelines and other legal requirements. These projects will lead to a consolidated set of amendments that will make the code more user-friendly, clear, and objective, and help respond to housing needs in unincorporated Multnomah County.
