Savannah Stopover Music Festival and The Park at Eastern Wharf are teaming up for the monthly Riverfront Concert Series! The next Monthly Concert Series is Friday, June 20th from 7-10 p.m. featuring Pylon Reenactment Society, with special guest Richard Barone and Savannah’s own Maupas.
The original Pylon helped define and shape the Athens, GA Music scene in the late 70's and early 80's, influencing everyone from REM to the B-52's and gaining a reputation as one of the best new wave, post punk bands in America.
Their "reenactment" as PRS maintains Vanessa Briscoe Hay at the helm, whose edgy and unique vocal style results in a live show that is equal parts Pylon hits and new material from their 2024 critically acclaimed debut album Magnet Factory which the Associated Press heralded:
"Amid the algorithm-driven din that now fills earbuds, Magnet Factory sounds as fresh as Pylon first did..."
A two time Savannah Stopover Festival alum, we can't wait to welcome them back to Savannah!
Our Food Trucks for the evening will be Mexicali Fresh, Slow Fire BBQ, Royal Tasty Avenue, Cone Ranger
Food and drinks will also be available for purchase from Squirrel’s and bar by fleeting at Thompson Savannah.
