Prevention Conference: Sustaining Impact Across Generations - Saskatoon, SK

Continuing to support families and communities, the second installment of the Prevention Conference offers fresh insights, new voices, and practical strategies, whether or not you attended Part One. This event stands on its own, welcoming all who are passionate about prevention and positive change. This conference will focus on sustaining long-term impact in prevention work. The event will feature two dedicated streams of presentations tailored to the unique needs of both directors/managers and frontline prevention staff.

Option 1: September 23 & 24, 2025

Director/Manager Stream

This stream will explore strategic leadership topics, including:

• Recruiting and retaining the right staff

• Performance management best practices

• Roles and responsibilities of First Nations Representative Services

• Conducting effective community needs assessments

Frontline Staff Stream

Designed for those working directly with families and communities, this stream will include sessions on:

• Facilitating parenting groups

• Understanding trauma and the brain

• Family Group Conferencing methods

• Suicide prevention strategies

All-Staff Workshops

In addition to the focused streams, all attendees will benefit from workshops on:

• Navigating workplan cycles and program evaluation for continuous improvement

• Caring for the caregiver: strategies for wellness and resilience
