Nature Print Bandanas & Magic Wands
Led by derdie (Andie Palynchuk & Derek Sandbeck)
Free program for all youth ages 4 to 15
August 11, 10am to 2pm
In this playful, hands-on workshop, kids will collect leaves and petals to create their very own floral-printed bandanas using a fun flower-smashing technique. Then, they'll craft their own magic wand or talking stick by wrapping sticks in fabric, yarn, beads, and more—perfect for storytelling, dress-up, or just showing off.
Led by derdie, a collaborative art duo from Treaty 6 Territory (Andie Palynchuk + Derek Sandbeck). Known for their playful, interactive installations, derdie creates spaces where kids can be bold, creative, and fully themselves.
Inspired by the programming model of Art City in Winnipeg, these workshops are free of charge and through partnerships with CHEP, the Saskatoon Public School Division, and some generous local restaurants the program will provide free and healthy meals to participants.
There is limited space, with a capacity of 20 participants but we are opening 10 spots up for registration, please email
