Build & Paint: Mural & Wood Sculpture Workshop for Kids

Free program for all youth ages 4 to 15
August 6, 10am to 2pm
Over the course of three playful, hands-on sessions, kids will dive into the worlds of sculpture, painting, and collaboration! In this open-format workshop, young artists will design and build wooden shapes and structures, then paint and combine them into a giant, colorful wall and floor mural. The creation will later be displayed for a week in the AKA/Paved Arts Window gallery!
Each day offers a new creative challenge, and participants are welcome to join for one, two, or all three sessions—no commitment required!
Led by derdie, a playful art duo known for transforming everyday spaces into joyful, interactive installations, this workshop invites kids to explore art in a way that’s bold, hands-on, and totally unique. Expect a mix of creativity, curiosity, and collaboration—plus a little bit of mess!
Inspired by the programming model of Art City in Winnipeg, these workshops are free of charge and through partnerships with CHEP, the Saskatoon Public School Division, and some generous local restaurants the program will provide free and healthy meals to participants.
There is limited space, with a capacity of 20 participants but we are opening 10 spots up for registration, please email
