Join us Thursday, August 14, at 6 pm for a performance on the Tang lawn by Troy, New York-based singer-songwriter Girl Blue.
Girl Blue, aka Arielle O’Keefe, is known for her lyrical storytelling, deeply emotional songs, singable hooks, and soft vocals. Having been featured on top Spotify playlists (New Music Friday), and charts (#2 on US Viral Charts), in national commercials, and on top blogs like the Huffington Post. She has received 7 Thomas Edison Music Awards, twice receiving Songwriter of the Year and Solo Act of the Year. It’s been said “she…has the kind of spark that makes stars” (The Alt) and, most especially as a live performer, she has an authenticity that regularly moves her audience to tears.
Girl Blue also performed at Upbeat on the Roof in 2018.
The 2025 Upbeat on the Roof concert series celebrates the Tang’s 25th anniversary year with some of our favorite acts from previous Upbeat seasons.
Concerts take place on the lawn outside the Tang (we outgrew the roof!) every Thursday evening from July 10 through August 21 at 6 pm, and are free and open to the public. Visitors are invited to bring blankets, camping chairs, and their own food and drink!
Crafts on the Grass
Tang Art Educators offer crafts for kids at every concert, starting at 5:30! A different craft will be available each week. All projects are suitable for children aged 5 and up, with adult supervision recommended. Materials will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
