Recently, AI has become an even hotter topic in teacher seminars than ICT or language activities. I’ve been actively experimenting with AI to create and refine English teaching materials, especially with frameworks like Bloom’s Taxonomy and its “cognitive codes.” These concepts guide students from basic understanding to more logical, creative thinking.
In this workshop, I’d like to discuss how AI can help us generate materials that promote active learning and self-study. We’ll explore using AI to scaffold lessons, suggest thought-provoking topics, and provide reading resources that encourage higher-order thinking. I’ll also share examples of how I use AI to align tasks with different levels of Bloom’s taxonomy.
Even as a heavy AI user, I believe there’s still so much untapped potential. Let’s come together to exchange insights, explore possibilities, and discover new ways to enrich our teaching practices with these evolving tools.
