Nature Journaling at Cooper Creek
Sonoma Land Trust helped protect the 54-acre Cooper Creek addition to Taylor Mountain Regional Park in 2020. Join us for our first public exploration of this land as we enjoy the views from above the city and record our nature observations in our journals.
The Nature Around Us: Journaling the Santa Rosa Creek Watershed
Join Sonoma Land Trust for a nature journaling exploration of the Santa Rosa Creek watershed! Take time to slow down, reconnect with nature, grow your observation skills, and develop a sense of place in the Santa Rosa Creek watershed.
Over the course of six outings, we’ll be visiting key waterways on protected lands across the Santa Rosa Creek watershed, from the headwaters to the Laguna, taking time to sit, observe, and document the nature we see. We’ll gain a sense of the nature that connects and flows through Sonoma County’s largest urban area, giving us a chance to see the interrelations of the landscape and natural environment. As we focus on nature journaling, we’ll learn to train our eyes to notice details in the landscape that may have otherwise gone unseen. Join us for the entire series or join us for any one you’d like!
We look forward to this discovery of the amazing waterways that sustain life through our city!
