Pine Needle Basketry

Discover the art of pine needle basketry in this hands-on workshop led by teaching artist Andi Meyer at SPAM’s Cole Creativity Center. Learn the timeless techniques to craft your own one-of-a-kind basket. Perfect for beginners and seasoned crafters alike, this class offers a relaxing and creative experience. All materials are provided—just bring your imagination and enjoy the process of turning natural pine needles into a stunning handmade creation!

This is a two-day workshop that will be taught on Friday, August 8 and August 15, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

This class is for ages 16 and over. The cost of this workshop is $84 per person. All skill levels are welcome and all materials are provided. Preregistration is required and space is limited. The course will be held inside the Cole Creativity Center located at 123 N 10th St, Santa Paula, CA. Free parking is available directly behind the building and students may enter through the front or back door.
