Share quality creative time with your little one in a joyful and welcoming environment at the Santa Paula Art Museum’s Cole Creativity Center! Our brand-new Parent and Child Art Classes are designed for families with children ages 3 to 6, offering a fun, hands-on introduction to art through safe, washable materials and age-appropriate projects.
Each week, teaching artist Haya Cuzick will lead playful, engaging lessons that spark imagination, nurture self-expression, and build foundational art skills. No experience is needed, just a willingness to explore!
This four-part series meets on Mondays: August 4, 11, 18, and 25, 2025, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. The class fee of $35 includes registration for one adult and one child.
Come make memories and masterpieces together! Youth scholarships are available to families enrolled in the state's EBT or WIC programs.

About Our Teaching Artist:
Haya Cuzick is a Southern California-based artist. She received an MFA from The School of the Institute of Art of Chicago in 2002. Working predominantly in clay and mixed media, she draws inspiration from her indigenous Mexican and Spanish heritage as well as from her belief that humans are a part of nature and not in control of it.
Haya’s view of life and nature result in the creation of vignettes depicting scenes of a personal lore that highlight a playfulness and love for all things in nature. The central character is often a skeleton or”calaca,” which Cuzick considers as “the mother of all things."
