Every piece of art carries a story—but without you, those stories can be lost. This is not a legal seminar; it’s a hands-on, creative session where we treat “legacy” like part of your studio practice. Expect playful prompts, small wins, and zero overwhelm.
You’ll leave with a clearer sense of how your work can be found, understood, and cared for—by loved ones now and by future viewers later.
What you’ll take away
Format & flow (2.5 hours)
This workshop is for working and semi-retired visual artists who’ve produced a body of work—and are wondering what comes next. You don’t need to be represented by a gallery or have a full archive. You just need a desire to protect what you’ve made.
About Lignia
Lignia helps artists and families preserve creative legacies through workshops and simple tools. Founder Michelle Grapa is the daughter of an 85-year-old professional artist; this project grew from real studio shelves, real conversations, and a desire to make legacy feel like part of the creative journey, not end-of-life admin.
This is a pilot edition of a new offering from Lignia.art. Your $20 registration helps cover materials and the room, and ensures committed participation.
Includes workbook, refreshments, and access to follow-up digital tools.
Note: Limited to 12 participants for a personal, hands-on experience. Registration required. No walk-ins.
