Super Greens opens the show at 5PM, Velour to follow with two sets
Super Greens is a funk/rock group based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Their sound is an eclectic mix of funk, soul, blues and rock inspired by artists such as The Meters, Led Zeppelin, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Revivalists, and Goose. The high-energy Super Greens sound is driven by the powerhouse vocals of Dave Combs and blistering guitar of Andrew Harris. The band’s rhythm section, consisting of Bill Croughan (bass) Noel Butta (keys), and John Spencer (drums), delivers a bedrock of catchy grooves. Super Greens released their first single, Life Gets Dirty, in the spring of 2023 and have been playing in front of big crowds at venues such as The Independent, Brick and Mortar Music Hall, Ivy Room and Boom Boom Room. Velour is comprised of four grown men dressed in Velour track suits who care deeply about their tone and find a Higher Power in The Groove. Instrumental funk, acid jazz, and improvisational conversations are all regularly embellished when Velour takes the stage. Their catalog includes original tunes written in the last decade, the last year, and last month along with come choice covers from our collective vinyl collections. Covey (drums), Dave (bass), Marc (guitar) and Pat (keys) promise to get you moving and keep it interesting.
