Black Comedy by Peter Shaffer

In Peter Shaffer’s uproarious farce Black Comedy, a power outage turns a perfectly planned evening into total chaos. As a young artist tries to impress his fiancée’s father and a millionaire art collector, a sudden blackout sends the apartment—and everyone in it—into confusion. The twist? The audience sees everything, though the characters are “in the dark.”

With mistaken identities, romantic slip-ups, and brilliant physical comedy, Black Comedy is a fast-paced, laugh-out-loud romp where the truth comes out when the lights go off.
