This practice will focus on some more "offbeat" Doubles methods. We are not sure which methods people might be keen to ring so we really would find it helpful if when replying you could give an indication of what you can ring and what you would like to practise/learn.
Possibilities include:
Variations based on Grandsire;
The advanced end of mainstream methods – Stedman+Erin, with related methods such as Titanic+Orpheus;
Different backworks for methods based on the St Simon's type method structures, such as Blackburn Place;
Slow course type methods such as St Edmund, Candlesby;
Odd-ball methods like New Bob, Shipway, Union, or St Hilary's;
Something really offbeat such as Wiggle, Vegetarian Sausage, To the Pub.
But, as always, what will be rung is very dependent on who attends, what they can ring and what they are practising, so do let the District Ringing Masters know and an update will be sent out closer to the practice. They would like to hear from those interested in attending by Thursday 18th September – please email
Y2FudGVyYnVyeXJpbmdpbmdtYXN0ZXIgfCBrY2FjciAhIG9yZyAhIHVr, giving your tower and level of previous experience.
Each attendee is asked to make a £1 tower donation.
