Juneteenth Jamboree

Henrico County Recreation and Parks is thrilled to invite you to our 2-day Juneteenth Celebration!

𝗢𝗻 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟮𝟬, 𝘄𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁-𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗝𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝘁! Starting at 5 pm, we’ll kick off a community parade at Baker Elementary School and wrap up at Varina High School.

But that’s not all! Following the parade, from 6:30-9pm, we’ll have an epic 7v7 football showdown announced by Shawn Mears. The competition will be between Henrico County’s very own high schools: Varina, Highland Springs, J.R. Tucker, Glen Allen, Deep Run, and Henrico! DJ Amare will be on the ones and twos, keeping the vibes going strong. Plus, we’ll have food trucks serving up delicious bites for you to enjoy.

𝗕𝗮𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆
HCPS Clear and Small Bag Procedures will be implemented for the football showdown.

Each spectator will be allowed to bring in the following:
-1 clear tote bag, clear backpack, OR clear resealable plastic bag
-1 small clutch purse and/or fanny pack for privacy (no larger than 5″ x 7″)
