Join us for an informative presentation by Dr. James Yurkovich in partnership with the Buck Institute. Dr. Yurkovich’s presentation will explain what data are used in research, why they are important, and how our data are used to make discoveries. He will also explore what the uses of artificial intelligence (AI) are and how it could assist in healthcare and research settings. Registration for this event is required via Eventbrite.
About the Presenter: Dr. Yurkovich holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a PhD in Bioinformatics and Systems Biology from the University of California San Diego. During a career in biotech, he worked in systems biology focusing on understanding the healthy functioning and aging of the human musculoskeletal system.
